NARRATIVE:

Portrait of Patrick Delaney, a native of Pictou County born there in 1801. In his 23rd year he moved to the Beaver Road of Antigonish County with his family. He eventually married Mary Quann and raised a large family. He died at Lakevale in his 90th – May 22nd 1890. Original tintype photo in the possession of family members living at Lakevale. In the 1980’s a print was made from the original tintype by local photographer Bob Gourley.
