Postcards were made from the Waldren photo and printed in Germany. The mud, the the workman, the wheelbarrow, and the telephone have miraculously disappeared, and this before the day of Photoshop. Pat Walsh (1989) in The History of Antigonish observes the “Antigonish maintains its reputation to this day of being tidy little town” (pl 144).
